Foundations of Stability, Movement, & Mechanical Dysfunction

This course is designed to give the clinician a better understanding of specific clinical presentations in the cervical, thoracic, lumbar spine and rib cage. This course will also examine the conditions originating in the extremities with their manifestation in the spine. There will be extensive coverage of the key biomechanical and myofascial relationships in the spine. Extensive coverage of the role posture plays in tissue dysfunction and pain. There will be hands on examination in key areas of articular and myofascial dysfunction in the spine and rib cage. Treatment strategies will focus on correction and rehabilitation of tissue dysfunction. A variety of approaches will be covered including manipulation of joints, muscle, fascial and dural structures. We will also cover current concepts and procedures for rehabilitation and spinal stabilization.
