The purpose of this program is to help chiropractors (and those in training) determine if a disc is involved with their patient’s condition. Emphasis will be placed on the interpretation of assessment findings and how to correlate this information with historical data. The program will also cover how to integrate exercise into the management of lumbar and cervical spine disc issues. All exercises that will be taught will be able to be modified for each patient’s individual pain presentation and exam findings.

By the end of the program, the attendee will be able to:

• understand the fundamentals of cervical and lumbar disc mechanics
• understand current concepts of pain classification and associated pathologies
• perform an assessment of the cervical and lumbar spine regions to determine
  if a disc is involved with their patient’s condition
• understand the different treatment approaches for cervical & Lumbar spine
  discs
• understand biomechanical implications of different core exercises
• understand the impact anatomical variations play in choosing rehabilitation
  exercises for lumbar and cervical spine disc patients
• understand how to manage painful lumbar and cervical spine disc patients with
  exercise by using a kinetic chain approach

Cancellation Fee - Cancellation fee is $35.00 with written notification to MPI required.
